We started dMP Kindergarten because a veteran Montessorian convinced our founder, Jake Goh, that Singapore needed schools that ran the Montessori method in full — mixed-age classrooms, properly trained teachers, real Montessori equipment — instead of borrowing the name for a partial curriculum. Our Head Teacher and curriculum planner, Wendy Kong, trained at Montessori Centre International (MCI) and has led our classroom ever since.
We keep our classes small and mixed-age, on purpose. It's a slower, more deliberate way to run a kindergarten, and we think it's the right one.
